DETAILED INFORMATION

The resident will spend 6 months working in an academic drug information center, the WV Center for Drug and Health Information, and 6 months working in a pharmaceutical company, Mylan, Inc. During these times, the resident will learn about and gain extensive hands-on experience in the variety of diverse activities that occur in these settings. These experiences include, but are not limited to, responding to drug information inquiries of many types, providing didactic lectures and related laboratory experiences, participating in adverse event reporting, preparing information needed for FDA submissions, writing reports and manuscripts, and working on research projects.
