Residents will be involved in all aspects of the University of Utah Drug Information Service activities. During the one-year program, residents have the opportunity to: respond to drug information requests, prepare drug monographs for the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, provide support for P&T and subcommittees, develop drug policy, evaluate, recommend, and implement medication safety actions, provide drug budget forecasting, coordinate the Drug Information Service operations, precept residents and pharmacy students on drug information rotations, manage national drug shortages, and work on projects for contract clients. A wide variety of elective rotations are available. Residents receive travel support to attend the ASHP midyear meeting and attend the Mountain States Residency Conference hosted by University of Utah.
