DETAILED INFORMATION

Residency experience is designed to provide broad-based learning experiences with a focus on primary care and provides both inpatient and outpatient clinical practice. Rotations are offered throughout Northwest Arkansas including Mercy Hospital of Northwest Arkansas, Washington Regional Medical Center, and Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks. Residents have a longitudinal ambulatory care PharmD clinic at UAMS NW Family Medical Centers managing diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, asthma, anticoagulation and other chronic conditions. Residents gain experience with tele-health at Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks, participate in ID transition of care and antimicrobial stewardship at Mercy Hospital NWA. Residents participate in Teaching and Residency Research Certificate programs and precept APPE pharmacy students.
