DETAILED INFORMATION

Four universities in The University of Texas System are partnering to offer a joint doctoral degree program – a PhD in Translational Sciences (TS PhD). The participating institutions are: the UT Austin, the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio, the UT San Antonio, and the UT School of Public Health.

This program emphasizes multi-disciplinary, collaborative research. The program will prepare the next generation of scientists to lead the multi-disciplinary biomedical research teams of the future in increasingly complex research environments. These scientists will advance knowledge toward the goal of translating basic biomedical scientific discoveries into strategies that will improve health care delivery, patient outcomes, and community health. Applications become available on September 1st and are due on January 15th.
