UVM Medical Center is an academic Level I Trauma Center with an annual census of ~65,000 emergency department (ED) visits. The PGY2 residency program is designed to provide advanced pharmacy training with an emphasis on emergency medicine, trauma, and intensive care. Longitudinal activities include completion of a research project, committee involvement, formal didactic lectures and co-precepting, certification in ACLS/Pediatric Advanced Life Support/Advance Trauma Life Support/Emergency Neurological Life Support, and professional staffing within the ED.
