The Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency at Saint Barnabas Hospital/Touro College of Pharmacy is a 12-month, in a ~100,000 visits annual ED. This intensive training involves activities in a wide variety of practice settings:

– Designing and managing pharmacotherapy regimens for hospitalized patients in a variety of emergency medicine and intensive care settings
– ACLS and PALS and longitudinal participation in medical emergencies and resuscitation
– ATLS and longitudinal participation in the trauma services provided in a Level II trauma center
– Monthly New York City Poison Control City Center Consultant Conference
– Opportunities for precepting, teaching, and counseling patients, students, residents, pharmacists, and other health care professionals
