The Ross Heart Hospital is a 174-bed comprehensive cardiovascular hospital located at The Ohio State University Medical Center. The goal of this specialized residency is to develop clinical skills needed to practice pharmaceutical care in the area of cardiology. Areas of focus include advanced heart failure, arrhythmias, acute coronary syndromes, cardio-thoracic surgery/mechanical support, heart/ lung transplantation and ambulatory cardiovascular care. In addition to patient care, the resident will complete a research project to be presented at the Great Lakes Residency conference/ National cardiology meeting . The resident will also serve on several Quality Assurance committees.Opportunities exist for teaching didactic lectures and experiential rotations. The program is flexible and will be designed to meet the needs of the individual.
