The pharmacy residency program at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is accredited by ASHP and is one year in length. The purpose of our PGY1 pharmacy residency program is to build on Doctor of Pharmacy education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two pharmacy residency training. The required learning experiences are Internal Medicine I & II, Ambulatory Care, Cardiology, Oncology, Pharmacy Leadership, Patient Safety, Practice Management and Staffing. The residents are members of multiple committees and workgroups. In the addition, the residents work with professors at the local College of Pharmacy on developing teaching skills.
