DETAILED INFORMATION

The pharmacy residency program offers well-rounded clinical pharmacy experiences in both inpatient and ambulatory care practice areas including: internal medicine, medical intensive care, perioperative care, psychiatry, anticoagulation, diabetes, cardiology, primary care services, and practice management. Elective rotations include oncology, pharmacoeconomics, infectious disease, rural health, and many more. As adjunct faculty at UMKC School of Pharmacy, the resident will gain experience in lecture preparation, didactic teaching and precepting of students on site. In each experience, the resident works closely with the residency director and the rotation preceptor to develop goals and objectives that will assist the resident in expanding skills for current and future practice.
