The flexible general pharmacy practice residency allows the resident to tailor activities to specific interests in preparation for practice in direct patient care positions or PGY2 residency training. Residents will work closely with administrative staff to gain a comprehensive understanding of the operations of a community-based tertiary care setting. Rotational experiences are available in drug information, trauma care, infectious disease, pediatrics, pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care, anticoagulation, pharmacokinetics, critical care, emergency medicine, cardiology, etc. The resident will participate in numerous committees and department-specific QA initiatives. Teaching opportunities are available with Pharm.D. students as well as in pharmacy, nursing, and medical resident in-services.
