DETAILED INFORMATION

The Ohio State University PGY2 Pain Management & Palliative Care residency is a multi-site program offering patient care experiences in outpatient and acute inpatient care settings, as well as the opportunity to earn a teaching certificate through classroom experiences at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. Graduates of the program will be well prepared to provide pharmaceutical care for pain, palliative, and hospice patients in both inpatient and outpatient practice settings, to pursue academic appointments, and to conduct clinical practice research.

The program offers 2 resident positions at different primary clinical practice sites (OSU and Optum). The preceptors at both sites work together to ensure residents gain similar core competencies in pain and palliative care with cross-training at both practice sites.
