St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital is a community teaching hospital with a PGY1 pharmacy residency designed to provide practical experience in the provision of pharmaceutical care. The residency year offers experiences in a variety of general and specialty areas, including pediatrics, ambulatory care, oncology, ID, critical care, internal medicine and transplant and can be adjusted to meet the needs of the individual resident. Various teaching opportunities are available to help the resident develop teaching skills for students, pharmacists and other health care professionals and the resident will actively participate in various pharmacy committees. St. Vincent Indianapolis is part of St. Vincent Health at a state level and Ascension Health at a national level allowing residents to be part of state-wide and national initiatives.
