DETAILED INFORMATION

The Clinical Pharmacogenomics Residency provides advanced training in the implementation of pharmacogenomic testing in clinical practice. The resident is integral to the institution-wide program to implement pre-emptive pharmacogenomic testing (www.stjude.org/pg4kds). The resident gains skills in interpreting raw test results and provides pharmacogenomic consults in the context of a comprehensive approach to pharmaceutical care. The resident learns in a dynamic environment translating laboratory-based discoveries into medication management for multiple disease states. The institution’s full integration of an electronic medical record, the world-class translational research programs, and the highly skilled clinical pharmacy team provide unrivalled opportunities for clinical implementation of pharmacogenomics.
