This one-year specialized residency in Health-System Pharmacy Administration, which is offered by the UIC College of Pharmacy and the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System, provides one with an opportunity to gain a well-rounded experience in a progressive pharmacy department. A variety of inpatient and outpatient rotations will allow one to develop his/her skill set in areas such as departmental strategic planning, budget preparation, ambulatory pharmacy services, the 340B drug pricing program, identification/benchmarking of pharmacy metrics, clinical service development, and specialty pharmacy. The goal of this residency is to develop a confident, well prepared administrator, educator, and researcher who will be prepared to assume a wide array of leadership roles in pharmacy administration.
