The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Center for Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomic Research (go.uic.edu/pharmacyCPR) offers two to four fellowships with emphases in outcomes research, medication adherence, pharmacoepidemiology, and pharmacovigilance. Fellows typically spend one year at UIC and one year off site with the corporate sponsor. Fellows are expected to take coursework, which may be applied towards a MS or PhD degree. Knowledge and experience is gained through a variety of research activities. Presentation and publication of research in peer-reviewed venues is expected. The fellowships are designed to facilitate careers in academia, consulting, and the pharmaceutical industry.
