DETAILED INFORMATION

Rush University Medical Center is a 600+ bed academic medical center offering experiences in hematology, oncology, and stem cell transplantation. Approximately 100-130 stem cell transplants are performed per year, including autologous, allogeneic, and haploidentical. The program is designed to develop the resident’s clinical expertise through a variety of core and elective rotations with experiences both inpatient and outpatient. The resident will complete at least one oncology-related research project and present data at the HOPA annual meeting. Teaching opportunities are available through precepting and/or didactic lectures with our association with many local colleges of pharmacy. Additionally, the resident will have staffing and overnight on-call responsibilities.
